Projects

We envision a future in Rhode Island where those aging out of foster care are not left alone, but are anchored in the life of a faithful local church, strengthened through discipleship relationships, and supported with stable housing that provides a foundation for a new path forward.

Material Support for those in Foster care.

At our organization, we are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals affected by foster care. To this end, we regularly organize collection drives at local grocery and retail stores to gather essential resources and raise awareness. These collection drives provide a convenient way for community members to contribute items such as clothing, school supplies, and personal care products, which are crucial for supporting the daily needs and development of foster children and youth. By participating in these events, the community plays a direct role in offering tangible support and solidarity, ensuring that those in the foster care system receive the encouragement and resources they need to thrive.

Join our Network of Churches

We invite your church to become part of the Millstone Ministries network—a growing coalition of churches committed to walking alongside those impacted by foster care. By partnering with us, your congregation can play a direct role in connecting young adults aging out of care to Christ-centered community, intentional discipleship, and practical rental assistance that provides immediate stability.

Our partner churches serve as the foundation of this mission. Through mentorship, biblical guidance, relational support, and coordinated events, churches help create both spiritual and practical pathways toward long-term independence. Together, we equip participants with accountability, encouragement, and tangible resources that address both immediate housing needs and lifelong spiritual growth.

This partnership not only strengthens the support system for vulnerable young adults and families, but also deepens your congregation’s ministry through meaningful service, discipleship relationships, and gospel-centered outreach.

We prayerfully ask you to consider joining us in this mission—to extend your church’s impact and help break cycles of generational foster care by building a stable, faith-filled future for those we serve.

Most importantly, pray for the future

I invite you to join Millstone Ministries in prayer for everyone impacted by foster care. Let us pray for the children and teenagers navigating the system—especially those approaching adulthood—that they would not only find stability, but also be rooted in a Christ-centered community where they are known, loved, and discipled.

Pray for the foster families who open their homes, that the Lord would grant them endurance, wisdom, and grace as they reflect His love in practical ways. Lift up caseworkers and advocates, asking that God would equip them with discernment, compassion, and strength for the weight of their calling.

Let us also pray for biological families seeking restoration—that barriers would be removed, healing would take place, and stable, loving homes would be established.

As Millstone seeks to connect young adults to faithful churches, intentional discipleship, and practical rental assistance, may our prayers strengthen the foundation beneath that work. Every prayer becomes part of the support system—declaring that those impacted by foster care are not forgotten, not unseen, and not alone.
